Michael Ray Andes, 69, of Johnson City, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, after an eight year battle with cancer. He was a native of Johnson City, and a son of the late Carl and Nell Barnett Andes. Michael served his country in the Vietnam War. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by: one sister, Judy Clark; and one niece, Joy Harvey. Survivors include: his wife of 25 years, Marilyn Andes; children, Jason Andes and his wife Stacee, and Melissa Howell; siblings, Wayne Andes and his wife Judy, Phyllis Hill and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Carl Andes, Kyrie Andes, Rebekah Andes, and Harlee Andes; and many special nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Mailien Reed Rogers, the VA medical staff, and Caris healthcare for their care and comfort. The family of Michael Ray Andes will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be follow immediately after, with pastors Jeremy Dykes and Tad Johnson officiating. A committal will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Barnett Cemetery on Spencer Lane in Johnson City. Pallbearers will be: Dustin Clawson, Tim Clawson, David Hill, Scotty Hill, Matt Howell, and John Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are: Gary Hill, John Clark, Hubert Barnett, Jerry Barnett, Steve Howell, and Steve Harris.
