Michael Reed Sell, 49, of 215 Brown Avenue, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 9, 2008. He was a native of Washington County, a son of Franklin Delano and Phyllis Lorene Reed Sell. Michael was a former chemical salesman. He graduated in 1977 from Daniel Boone High School and attended Tennessee Tech. He was a family man who had a loving, generous heart, a great sense of humor and never met a stranger, with a great spirit. Michael was a Christian and a member of the Boones Creek Christian Church. Michael was a member of the Moose Lodge #692 of Greeneville. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy Reed and Della Reed Norton and his paternal grandparents, Marion and Pauline Graybeal Sell; an uncle, Hagan Reed. Survivors include: his parents; his former wife, Amy Sell, a son, Michael Todd Sell and daughter Alley Sell of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Kim Jamerson of Johnson City; daughter, Lauren McMeans of Blountville; two granddaughters, Camryn McMeans and Nora Jamerson; a sister, Shannon Sell of Knoxville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Vickie Sell of Jonesborough, Adam and Barbara Toth Sell of Greeneville; two nieces, Tori (his goddaughter) and Ashley; two nephews, Jake and Jordan; two aunts and an uncle, Janice Lunceford of Tuscaloosa, AL, Margaret and Allen Jones of Knoxville; his step-grandfather, Police Norton of Jonesborough; several cousins and many many friends. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Mr. Dick Morris. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11. The family will also receive friends anytime at the home of his parents at: 161 Sand Valley Road, Jonesborough. A committal service will be conducted at the Monte Vista Memorial Park following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to: the Adventa Hospice, 684 Highway 91, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or the Building Fund of the Boones Creek Christian Church, 305 Christian Church Road, Gray, TN 37615.
