Mike Murray, 63, Johnson City, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mike was a native and life-long resident of Johnson City and a son of the late Rallo and Gladys Harris Murray. He retired from the Tennessee National Guard after forty-two years of service. Mike was president of the Unaka Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by: one brother, Charles Murray, Johnson City; sister, Pam Rice, and her husband Earl, Johnson City; two nephews, Shane Murray and Todd Murray ; niece, Kelly Murray; great nephew, Jonathan Murray; great niece, Hunter Murray. Preceded in death by great niece, Chandler Murray. Mike had a big heart, and was always ready to help anyone. To remember him, please pay it forward and help someone in need, and remember him when you do. At this time, all services for Mike will be private. In the future, an event will be scheduled to celebrate Mikes life.
