Mildred E. Savage

Mildred E. Savage, 87, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at her residence. Mildred was born in Franklin, NC to the late Charlie E. and Reva McCracken Elliott. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by: her husband of 52 years, Walter Savage; and four sisters. Survivors include: three children, Barbara Savage, Cathy Hughes and her husband Ronnie, and Michael Savage and his wife Pat; seven grandchildren, Bryan Hughes and his wife Jill, Curtis Hughes and his wife Carolee, Alex Savage and his wife Kassie, Amber Savage, Angie Savage, Andy Savage and his wife Angela, and Joe Savage and his wife Terry; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one special friend, Louise Barnes. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Washington County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, where Mildred was a member for over 20 years, 585 Watauga Rd., Watauga, TN 37694.
