Mildred Louise Clark, age 90, of Johnson City, passed on to her heavenly home on October 27, 2014, in the Johnson City Medical Center after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Jacob and Ora Easley Clark. After graduation from Columbia Bible College, Columbia, SC, in 1948, she taught for 35 years in the Bristol, TN/VA, and Public School System. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City, where she had taught Sunday School for many years and participated in Presbyterian Women activites. She loved to research family history, write poems, help with missions, and give gifts. She dedicated her later years to taking care of her dear sister Ruth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Brasington. Survivors include: a sister, Ruth Evelyn Clark of the home; a nephew, Bruce Brasington and wife Darlene of Canyon, Texas; a brother-in-law, Clayton F. Brasington, Jr., of Texas; and several cousins. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 2 PM, in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Louis Imsande will officiate. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM Monday. Memorials in honor of Mildreds life may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 105 S. Boone St., Johnson City, TN 37604, or a Christian mission of your choice.
