Mildred Louise Cross

Mildred Louise Cross, 85, of Johnson City, TN died Sunday Morning, June 2, 2019, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late William Creed and Alice Pickle Laws. Mildred was a retired Auditor for Parks Belk. She was a charter member of the Lynwood Christian Church and had served as both pianist and organist since 1957.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Gene Cross in 1999; sisters, Faye Delores Duncan and Margaret Melba Caldwell; special uncle, Arthur Laws; special niece, Ann Caldwell; special nephew, Rick Caldwell Sr.; and great grandson, Alexander Belcher.
She was a loyal wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Survivors include: daughter, Tamela Cross Harris and special son-in-law Jeffrey Brown; granddaughters, Nikki Belcher and her husband Michael, Kristen Jordan and her husband Robbie, all of Johnson City; many nieces and nephews, including special nieces: Kathy Martin, Pamela Banks, Hannah Johnson, Amanda and Wendy Caldwell, Isabella Johnson, and Becky Palmer, and special nephews: Henry Martin, Mark Banks, Caleb Banks, Tony Duncan Jr., Rick Caldwell Jr., Bub Martin, Roy Martin, Brett Martin, Trey Martin, Ben Caldwell, David Johnson, Dale Caldwell, and many great grandsons.
The family of Mildred Cross will receive friends at Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM, officiated by special nephew, Tony R. Duncan Jr., with a word of prayer by close cousin, Gene Laws. A committal will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2019. Family and friends are asked to gather at the graveside by 10:50 AM.
Active Pallbearers will be Bub Martin, Roy Martin, Trey Martin, Michael Belcher, David Johnson, Robbie Jordan, and Caleb Banks, with junior pallbearers, Maverick Belcher and Carsen Crawford. Honorary Pallbearers are Henry Martin, Mark Banks, Dale Caldwell, Rick Caldwell Jr., Jeffrey Brown, and Brett Martin.
