Milton Goins, 94, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Mountain Home Community Living Center. Milton was born in Claiborne County, TN to the late Leonard and Anna Goins. Milton was a U.S. Army, WWII veteran. He was in the Allies? D-Day Invasion of France. Milton retired from Johnson City Foundry in 1986, after 21 years. He and his wife were members of Trinity Baptist and Tacoma Church of God. In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: his wife of 71 years, Phyllis Jean Justice Goins; two daughters, Sharon Ruth and her husband Frank and Ann Goins and her husband Robert King; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say thank you to the CLC for the care provided this past week, and to the entire VA hospital for the care provided to Milton over many years. The family of Milton Goins will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Morris-Baker. A committal service will follow at 2:30 PM at Washington County Memory Gardens in the mausoleum chapel. Please meet at the cemetery by 2:20 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 204 W. Walnut St., Johnson City, TN 37604.
