Mollie Whaley

Mollie Whaley, 75, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 26, 2022, after a brief illness.

She was of the Christian faith.

She was the daughter of the late Starlin and Mildred Hughes.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Daniel Whaley.

Survivors include her son, Vincent Z. Whaley, and his wife, Lori; her daughter, Kimberly Valk, and her husband, Mark; her daughter, Nikki Wilson, and her husband, Matthew; her brother, Richard Hughes, and his wife, Christine; special niece, Camille Boccia; and grandchildren, Claire Valk, Lucas Valk, Ansley Wilson, and Jacob Whaley.

The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 pm.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Mark Valk, Lucas Valk, Matthew Wilson, Jacob Whaley, Jay Ramsey, and Frankie Ramsey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
