Myrtle Elizabeth Miller

August 3, 1917 — March 1, 2010

Myrtle Elizabeth Miller, 92, of Johnson City, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010. She was a native of Avery Co., NC and a daughter of the late, Dan and Mary Jane Anderson Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fairbanks Miller and by two brothers, Daniel Williams and Odell Maines; two sisters, Audrey Kiser and Zora Campbell. Mrs. Miller was a member of King Springs Baptist Church.She had formally been a Paper Hanger for Gilford Clark Construction.Survivors include; twelve children, Johnny Miller and his wife Mary of Leland, NC, Raymond Miller and his wife, Linda of Johnson City, Alma McNabb and her husband Carl of Johnson City, Margaret Manning and her husband Paul of Jonesborough, Bobby Miller of Johnson City, Jerry Miller and his wife, Debbie of Johnson City, Frank Edward Miller and his wife Pat of Johnson City, Norma Campbell of Johnson City, Carolyn Sue Barnett and her husband Bobby of Butler, Phyllis Ann Miller of Johnson City, Sandra Berry and her husband Thomas of Johnson City and Tina Smith an her husband Alan of Johnson City; 40 Grandchildren; 64 Great Grandchildren; 24 Great Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Great Grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at King Springs Baptist Church at 7:30 pm. Rev. Jerry Cornett and Rev. Darrell Slagle will officiate. Burial services will be conducted from Monte Vista Memorial Park at 4:00 pm on Thursday. The family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:30 until 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
