Nancy Magdalen Mccauliff

Nancy McCauliff, 69, Jonesborough, passed away peacefully at The Waters of Johnson City on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Nancy was born on October 4, 1952, in Wheeling, WV to the late Francis J. and Ann Bocek McCauliff.

Nancy grew up in Akron, OH and graduated from Ellet High School. She went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Akron and her master’s degree in librarian science from the University of Pittsburgh.

In 1979, Nancy married the love of her life, Gary R. Anderson.

Nancy worked as an underwriter in insurance for commercial lines. In her spare time and after retirement, Nancy volunteered her time at the Cancer Society and Parham Doctor’s Hospital in Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by: brothers, James and Donald McCauliff; and sisters, Dolores Lynsky, June Flores and Carolyn Osborne.

Survivors include: her husband of 43 years, Gary Anderson; one sister, Janet Sargent and her husband James; and 20 nieces and nephews.

Services for Nancy will be private.
