Nellie King Godsey, 92, of Piney Flats, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home. She was a native of Piney Flats, daughter of the late Samuel and Mattie Bishop McKamey. Nellie was a homemaker and member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband of over 50 years, Sherwood Godsey in 1993 and all her siblings. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law R. M. and Martha Godsey and daughter and son-in-law Ruth and David Milhorn all of Piney Flats; three grandchildren, Lorri Carver and husband Ronnie, Leslie Morelock and husband Steven and Jeff Milhorn; two step grandchildren, Laura Kilby and husband Scott and MSgt. David L. Sexton and wife TSgt. Carrie; five great grandchildren, Matthew Carver, Eli and Manny Milhorn, Connor and MaKenna Sexton; several nieces and nephews. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Chaplain Mark Morgan and special music by Jeff Worley. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm. A committal service will follow in the St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery, Piney Flats. Active pallbearers will be: grandsons, Ronnie, Steven, Jeff, Scott, Matthew and family friend, Josh King. Memorials may be made to: the Cemetery fund of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1665 Allison Road, Piney Flats, TN 37686.
