Noah Johnson

Noah ?Papaw' Johnson, 87, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at NHC Health Care peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Noah was welcomed into heaven by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruby Victoria Johnson. He was a native of Benhams, VA and lived the last 50 years of his life in Johnson City, TN. Noah was a moulder and retired from Johnson City Foundry. He lived his life to the fullest camping, fishing, and gardening. In addition to his parents, Charles Conley Johnson and Mary Eller Triplett, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Gosnell, Estelle Freeman, Mable Carrico, and Eva Delp; and six brothers, Arthur Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Towncil Johnson, Robert Johnson, Russell Johnson, and Raymond Johnson. Noah is survived by: one sister, Mary ?Mickie' Magdalene Nottingham; two daughters, Barbara Carr, and her husband Bobby, and Carolyn Tallman, and her husband Charles Tallman, Jr.; one son, Dennie Johnson; eight grandchildren, Jackie Whittaker, Jimmy Carr, Wendy Clark, Robin Cole, Jeanna Kelly, Michael Tallman, Megan Stidham, and Angela Johnson; and ten great grandchildren, Justin Whittaker, Tanner Whittaker, Dalton Clark, Hannah Clark, Brandon DeBold, Evan DeBold, Ryan DeBold, Dresdan Kelly, Delilah Tallman, and Mackenzie Stidham. The family of Noah ?Papaw' Johnson will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. Bill Duncan officiating. The entombment service will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Justin Whittaker, Tanner Whittaker, James Kelly, Bryan Whittaker and Chad Clark. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
