Novella F. Bowman, 80 of 112 East Mill Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was a native of Kingsport, son of the late Lonzo and Myrtle Watts Fleenor. Novella was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Scottie Bowman; four sisters, Dorothy Fleenor, Opal Fleenor, Nina Ruth and Berneice F. Gouge. Survivors include: two daughters, Sandy Bowman of Elizabethton and Deborah and her husband, William Jolly of Elizabethton; three brothers, Theodore Fleenor of Johnson City, Hershiel Fleenor of Elizabethton and Albert Fleenor of North Carolina; one sister, Shirley Fleenor Honeycutt of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Brandon Jolly and Celena Jolly both of Elizabethton; special friend of Sandy Bowman Tracey Taylor of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews.Special thanks to neighbors and friends.A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Daryl W Cox, Minister and Rev. Bill Greer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of services at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Deacons of the Carter Christian Church. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 10:30 a.m.
