October 9, 1923 — July 28, 2010

Olen Pate Kearley, 86, of Jonesborough, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his residence after an extended illness. His entire Christian Life has evolved over 50 years of Soul-Winning and as a Sunday School Teacher. Now, he is in Heaven to spend Eternity with his Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ. Preceded in death by his parents, Blain and Charity Kearley; a son, Burman Keys Kearley and a sister, Myrtle and brother, Ed Kearley. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Louise Atwell Kearley of the home; a niece, Brenda Maney and husband John of Crumpler, North Carolina and nephew, Richard Kearley and wife Wilma of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00AM Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Dr. Jody Jenkins officiating. Military honors to be provided by the U.S. Navy. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30AM on Monday. Pallbearers will be Jack Barrett, Gary Canter, Joe Mosier, Brent Scroggs, Marty Scroggs and Tim Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bryant, Bob Edwards, John Manitta, Jack Mosier and Keith Watts. Music will be provided by Jack and Virginia Mosier. The Kearley Family would like to extend their Special Thanks and prayers to Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church in Gray, Tennessee and the Staff of Amedisys Hospice especially Tera/Tera in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
