Opal Pauline Bacigalupo, age 89, formerly of 612 Mountain View Road, Johnson City, Tennessee, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at Primacy Health Care in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a native of Brownsville, Tennessee and had lived in Johnson City, Tennessee from 1977 until entering Primacy Health Care three years ago. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie A. Parks and the late Elizabeth Darthula Boggs. Mrs. Bacigalupo was a member of Central Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bacigalupo, Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Skelton; one brother, Jerry Parks and one sister Vivian Parks. Survivors are three sons, Bobby E. Nuckolls, Germantown, Tennessee; James Edward Bacigalupo, III, Clayton, North Carolina; Tony Bacigalupo, Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Ruby Parks, Brownsville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Bacigalupo will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5th at Central Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Mr. Tim Hall will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jerry Skelton, Red Barrett, Charlie Grindstaff, John Paul Jones, Chig Gunther, and George Holly. Honorary pallbearers are the following grandsons, James E. Bacigalupo, IV, David Skelton, Mark Bacigalupo, Phil Nuckolls and Gary Roberson.
