Mrs. Pansy Murray Harmon, 73, Johnson City, passed away Saturday May 1, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Harmon was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Laura Bennett Murray. Mrs. Harmon retired from Mays Brothers in 1997 after twenty-five years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: her husband of fifty-five years, Roy Harmon of the home; one daughter, Doris Jones and her husband David of Johnson City; three sisters, Ethel Slagle of Johnson City, Bertha Ford of Johnson City and Wanda Fay Davis of Jonesborough; two brothers, Tex and William Murray both of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Sasha Jones Weaver and her husband Joe of Alaska and Keith Jones of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Pansy Murray Harmon will be conducted at 8 PM Tuesday May 4, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Bobby Miller will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Wednesday to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
