Patricia Denise Labahn

Dr. Patricia Denise LaBahn, 68, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her residence. Patricia was born to the late John Peter and Patricia Monahan LaBahn in Evanston, IL. While attending college, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and also earned her Ph. D. Patricia was an Instructor and Associate Dean at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. She retired to East Tennessee in 2010. She was an active member at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Johnson City, TN. Patricia was also a member of the Board of Trustees at Rocky Mount for four years, and was elected last year for an additional three more years. She participated in the Master Gardener?s program at Rocky Mount and served on several other committees of the board. Patricia was described as a good friend to many. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one cousin, Rabbi Pavel Slavensky. Survivors include: several cousins, Jim Dease and his wife Anne, Barbara Dease Jones and her husband Russell, Robert LaBahn and his wife Bunni, Linda LaBahn Slavensky, Anne Wood and her husband Don, John Monahan, Michael Monahan, Lizanne Monahan Searing and her husband Joseph, and Thomas Monahan. A mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary?s Catholic Church, 2211 E. Lakeview Dr., Johnson City, TN 37601.
