Patricia "Pat" Johnson

Patricia "Pat" Ann Johnson, age 87 of Piney Flats, Tennessee passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. She was born to the late Jack and Dollie Hayden on April 26, 1937 in Dixon, Illinois. Pat spent the majority of her formative years in Sarasota, Florida, where she was crowned Miss Sarasota and graduated from Sarasota High School in 1955.

Soon there after she met and married the love of her life, William "Bill" Dowell Johnson, Sr. in 1957. Bill and Pat began their family with a daughter, Karen, and son Bill. They were fortunate enough to travel all over the southeast for William's career while Pat was able to remain home and raise their family.

Pat was most proud of her accomplishment as an Ophthalmic Medical Technician for the Johnson City Eye Clinic for many years, and owner of the Blessings To You tea shop in Jonesborough.

In addition to her parents Pat is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Dowell Johnson, Sr., and sister, Sandra "Sandi" Liles of Powhatan, Virginia.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen (Tom) Smith, son, Bill (Connie) Johnson; grandchildren, Brady (Beata) Johnson, Brittany (David) Jones, and Elizabeth "Liz" Smith; great-grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Levi and Benjamin Jones, and sister, Sally VonConta of Sante Fe, New Mexico.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Pat may be made to a local charity of your choice.

The family will fellowship with friends in the family life center of Slagle's Methodist Church, 285 Old Watauga Road, Elizabethton, TN 34643 on April 12, 2025 beginning at 11:00am. A memorial service will be immediately following at 12:00pm in the sanctuary.
