Patricia Margaret Pond

Patricia 'Pat'? Pond, 94, 2022 Sherwood Drive, Johnson City, died Monday, November 17, 2008 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Pond was a native of Boston, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes ONeill Brill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Pond; one sister, Marian Martin; and one brother, James Martin. Mrs. Pond was a Registered Nurse serving in the Army Nurse Corps in WWII. Survivors include: her husband of 62 years, Norman Pond ; one daughter, Susan ONeil and her husband TJ of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Annette ONeil of Los Angeles, California and Gwen Beaudet of Manchester, New Hampshire. Patricia 'Pat' Ponds life was all about love and caring for others. An Army Nurse, she served briefly in London, the Panama Canal Zone, and Walter Reed. She passed her love of Nursing to her daughter, Susan. She delighted in life-long learning and visiting with her friends at Appalachian Christian Village. Her husband of 62 years, Norman, her daughter and son-in-law, her granddaughters, and those who she leaves behind will miss her deeply.
