Patrick Dean Alfred Flaherty

Patrick Dean Alfred Flaherty died peacefully on April 18, 2021 in Johnson City, TN.

He was born on April 12,1951 in Detroit, MI to Robert Edmund and Jean Beatrice (Young) Flaherty.

Patrick attended Henry Ford High School in Detroit, graduated from Olivet College in 1973 and received Respiratory Therapy training at Mercy College of Detroit. He taught and practiced Respiratory Therapy in Michigan, North Carolina, Florida and at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine in Johnson City, TN.

He lived most recently in Elizabethton and in Johnson City. Patrick loved and played music, including the harmonica, banjo and, his special love, the piano. He often played in churches and other venues in the Johnson City area, and with friends. Patrick was also a skilled cartoonist.

He is survived by his daughter, Erin; grandchildren, Amyah and Kingston; and brothers, Robert and John; and sister, Martha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kelly.
