Patte Jane Earley, age 84, of Johnson City, Tennessee, died on December 19, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1940, in Drexel, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Nelle Cole.
Patte earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Michigan and spent her career at Denver Children's Hospital. It was there that she met Dr. William "Bill" Earley, whom she married on August 1, 1964. Together, they raised their two daughters in Parker, Colorado, where they were active members of Parker United Methodist Church.
After Bill's passing, Patte found her way to Johnson City to be close to her daughter, Kathi. She became an integral part of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, engaging in the Philosopher's and Open Door Sunday School Classes, as well as serving on various committees and the church council. She was also a proud member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AQ.
Patte is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, James O. Cole, Jr. She leaves behind her two daughters, Kathleen (Dr. Matthew Cary) and The Rev. Melissa Earley, along with her grandsons, John Cary, James Cary, and Joseph Cary.
