Paul Epperson Fields, 79, of Watauga, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at Johnson City Medical Center. Paul was born in Washington County, Virginia, a son of the late Luther Dixon and Eula Chapman Fields. He moved from Virginia to Tennessee and worked at Johnson City Foundry for seventeen years. He moved on to work at American Water Heater for four more years before retiring. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by: two brothers, Roosevelt Fields and Walter Fields; and two sisters, Mary Horchata and Beulah Sword. Survivors include: three brothers, James Fields, and his wife June, Carl Fields, and Joe Fields; one sister, Ruth Mabe; close niece Lori Shepherd, as well as many more nieces and nephews. The family of Paul Fields will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by pastors Bill Garland and Jerry Sams. Those gathered will go procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park immediately following for a committal service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
