Paul Eugene White, Sr., of Johnson City, age 76, passed away on February 15, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center. Paul was a big fish that lived his life to the fullest. He built his life with true ambition and grit. His story has unfolded to include a Nashville recording contract that lead to singing at The Grand Ole Opry, also managing a Cadillac dealership, owning a night club and construction business, owning several car dealerships, and achieving the highest honor within surrounding states in the automobile sales industry. Paul was in love with his family and was unquestionably committed to them. He also remained loyal to his lifelong friends, especially Bruce Peeler. All the people that knew Paul will remember his strong personality, and his memory will be told in stories for many years to come. We love you so deeply, Paul. He was born in Johnson City, the son of the late Charles Elmer and Bessie Mae Casey White. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Kay White; an infant son; and three sisters, Doris Ann Cardwell, Ruth Miller, and Virginia Humphrey. He is survived by his wife, Barbara White, of the home; one son, Paul ?Buddy' White, of Kingsport; a daughter, Cynthia Anne Trite (Jerry) of Mt. Holly, NC; a daughter, Lisa Marie White (Aaron Peters) of Johnson City; a stepdaughter, Candace Bacon (Kane), of Johnson City; a stepdaughter, Christina Ogle (Adam), of Jonesboro; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Bouldin, of Johnson City; two brothers, Charles White (Trella) and David White (Pat), both of Johnson City; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The White family will receive friends from 4:00 ? 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at River of Life Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at River of Life Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Donnie Humphrey. A committal service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends should arrive at the cemetery by 12:50 pm.
