Mr. Paul Fred Cook, age 76, formerly of Greeneville, Tn passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Mr. Cook was a native of Swain County, North Carolina. He was a United States Navy veteran having severed in the Korean War. Mr. Cook worked for several years as a Nuclear Technician at Oak Ridge Nuclear Plant. Survivors include: special friends, Barbie Bradford and her husband Wade of Greeneville, Whitney Johnson and Jessica Johnson; also by friends and neighbors. A graveside service for Mr. Paul Fred Cook will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Chaplain Sam Puckett will officiate. Active pallbearers will be: Adam Wampler, Andrew Wampler, Kendall Starcher, Kevin Johnson, Brian Jennings and Toby Willis. Honorary pallbearers will staff and friends from The Veterans Admininistration Mountain Home in Johnson City. The Boone Dame Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military rights. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Tuesday to go in procession.
