Paul Rader, 71, Johnson City, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a Jonesborough, TN native and a son of the late Arnold Foster and Josie Lee Carder Rader. Mr. Rader was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rader was a United States Air Force veteran. He was the former training manager for Burlington Industries. Survivors include: his wife, Beth Benson Rader, of the home; son, Justin Rader, of the home; daughter, Amanda Rader, Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Pat Howard, Jonesborough, and Jean King, and her husband Gene, Greeneville; aunt, Ruby Carder, Johnson City; mother-in-law, Lucy Benson, Johnson City; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Smith, and her husband Bill, Greeneville, and Patti Hyder, Winter Park, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Paul Rader will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Dave Shorter will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Greg Ledbetter, Bill Smith, Andy Smith, Rodney Wallin, John Morgan and Sammy Combs. Gene King will serve as honorary pallbearer. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to meet at Morris-Baker by 10:40 AM to go in procession to the cemetery for those services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Johnson City/Washington County, 2210 West Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
