Paul Walter Mcclanahan

Mr. Paul Walter McClanahan, age 76, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Johnson City. Mr. McClanahan was born in Grundy, VA. He was the son of the late Charlie and Flora (Rowe) McClanahan. In addition to his parents, his beloved wife, Georgia L. (Parks) McClanahan and several siblings preceded him in death. Paul was a member of Martindale Baptist Church. He served in the US Army. Survivors include: daughter, Pamela Marlena Campbell and her husband Wayne; five grandchildren, Lovonda Hall, Clifford Walker, Misty Fagan, Krystal Hyder, and Paige Biliter; great grandchildren, Keeley Miller, Elijah Walker, Racheal Walker, Bryson Hyder, Kira Hyder, and Lexeran Hyder; three sisters, Thelma Whitt, Nell Clevenger, and Hazel Barnett; one brother, Chester McClanahan; special niece, Loretta Biliter; special cousin, Bonnie Dolan; and numerous other great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family of Mr. Paul McClanahan will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may also visit at Morris-Baker from 11 AM Wednesday until the time of visitation at 4 PM. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Reverend Delbert Storie will officiate. The committal service will follow at Cherokee Community Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Matthew Fagan, Greg Dolan, David Biliter, Wayne Campbell, Cliff Walker, and Bill Campbell.
