Pauline Pate Poarch, 97, of Johnson City died Monday, June 2, 2008 In the Lakebridge Healthcare Center. Mrs. Poarch was a native of Johnson County and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Little Doe Baptist Church in Johnson County. Mrs. Poarch is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Ray Poarch in 1996; and by four sisters and two brothers. Survivors include: one son, Robert L. Pate of Walton, KY; three daughters, Shelby Barnett, Linda 'Cookie'? Hawkins and Reba Hill, all of Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Angela Butler, Vince Hawkins, Alisha Campbell, Helen Hall, Anthony Barnett, LaShay Barnett, Tina Ayo, and Victor Pate; ten great grandchildren, Colby and Kasey Hawkins, Chelsea and Nick Butler, Keegan Campbell, Joseph Lott, Serena and Anthony Thompson, Jared and Jenna Ayo; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service for Pauline Pate Poarch will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, June 5, 2008 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Mike Pelham will officiate. Interment will follow the service. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Thursday prior to the service. The procession will then go to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to your favorite charity.
