Peggy Ann Bentley

April 15, 1938 — January 6, 2013

Peggy Ann Bentley, 74, of Gray, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of McDowell County, West Virginia and a daughter of the late Beverly Bower and Thelma Williams. Mrs. Bentley was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at the Washington County Detention Center before retirement. Survivors include; three children, Peggy Leigh Bentley and Melvin Bentley both of Johnson City and Michael Bentley of Valdese, NC; one sister, Dina Richardson of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Brandon Bentley, Alex Bentley and Jamie Strickler; two great grandchildren, Hunter Bentley and Hallie Bentley; one nephew, Bret Richardson. Memorial services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 from the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Mr. Steve Hill, Minister and Mr. Donald Mushayamunda, Minister will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday. Inurnment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Marion, VA. on Friday at 11:00am.
