Peggy Ruth Woodruff

Mrs. Peggy Ruth Woodruff, age 85, of Johnson City, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, in the Lakebridge Health Care Center. Mrs. Woodruff was a native of Harlan, Kentucky who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late William 'Bill'? Lamons and Fannie Abel Lamons. In addition to her parents her first husband Chester Walden; her second husband Raymond Woodruff; two sisters, Kate Shelton and Mary Williams; one brother, Sam Lamons, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Woodruff was a homemaker. Survivors include five daughters, Shirley Bradley, Joan Castle, Ruby Huffine, Dee Westcot and Robin Cline; three sons, Robert Walden, Randy Walden and Charles Walden; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Peggy Ruth Woodruff will be conducted at 7 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Kyker will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Lakebridge Heath Care for the great care that was provided to Mrs. Woodruff.
