Penney Gail Tapp

Penney Gail Tapp, age 70, of Johnson City, Tennessee passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Cornerstone Village in Johnson City.

Penney was born on August 8, 1949 to George Woodard Tapp and Eula Kate Bustler Langston in Johnson City.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She worked at The Cottage and The Apex as a cook for many years. In her free time, Penney enjoyed fishing, going to the racetrack, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Penney was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ruth Britt and Linda Land.

She is survived by her daughters, Penny Pryor and Viva Hopson; son, Lonnie Hopson; grandchildren, Casey Pryor, Jessica Pryor, Johnathan Hopson, Mary Jane Hopson, Joshua Hopson, Tyler Hopson, Amber Hopson, Isaac Hopson, and Brooke Ward; sisters, Debbie McKinney, Susan Hopson, and Judy Goins; and brother, Randall Tapp.
