Phillip Wade Luster, 56, of Elizabethton, died Friday, September 6, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Vincenza, Italy, to Ira Talmadge, Jr. and Esther Leona Stidham Luster, while Ira served in the U. S. Army.
He was a retired Regulatory Compliance Manager for Smith-Higgins which later became AmerisourceBergen, Company.
Phillip was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
He was in the first graduating class of Sullivan South High School in 1981. He attended UT and graduated from ETSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Phillip was a fan of obscure YouTube videos, loved bad Dad jokes and was traumatized by York Peppermint patties in his youth.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his wife, Lisa Yonkey Luster of the home; three children, Dalton (Katie) Luster, Christine (Cain McWalters) Luster and William (Kayla) Luster; three grandchildren, Owen, Kassidy and Kollins; one brother, Greg (Jill) Luster and one sister, Lisa (Steve) Tallman; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his beloved dog, Bailey.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Wesley United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall under the direction of Rev. Gerald Casson.
