Phyllis Kathleen Bishop

Phyllis C. Bishop, 88, Dinwiddie, VA died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. Mrs. Bishop was a native of Castlewood, VA, a resident of East Tennessee for several years and the remaining years in VA. She was a daughter of the late Carl Vanevert Couch and Lula Etta Couch and was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Jackson Bishop and two brothers, I.B. Couch and Carl Couch, Jr. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Stateline Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother all her life. Mrs. Bishop is survived by one son, Paul V. Williams, Gray; two daughters, Shelia B. Harris, Dinwiddie, VA and Terri B. Cawley and her husband Fred R. Cawley, Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, Robin Lynn Williams, Richmond, VA, Kevin Williams, Gray, TN Christian J. Harris, Harrisonburg, VA and Keri K. Cawley, Richmond, VA; two nieces and two nephews. A graveside service for Mrs. Bishop will be held at 1 PM Friday at Stateline Cemetery, Laurel Bloomery, TN. Reverend Steve Spratlin will officiate. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
