Ralph Frame was called to his heavenly home on Aug. 22, 2024, at the age of 98. He passed away peacefully at his home. He was a member of Cavalry Baptist Church.
Born in Richard City, TN, in 1925, he began his military service at a young age by proudly serving his country in WWII and beyond in the US Navy. He was a recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Medal, Victory Medal, and American Theater Medal.
Holding a degree in electronics, he worked for the Martin Company in Orlando, FL, until moving back to TN. He found his true calling in the insurance business with Union Bankers Insurance Company in Johnson City, where he worked until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Carrie Frame; a brother, Willard “Bill” Frame; his sister, Margaret Anne Peoples; a daughter, Angelea “Angie” Frame; and his wife, Lora Jean Frame.
Mr. Frame was blessed to have a very close relationship with his daughter, Shannon Jones, and her husband, Jeremy; his grandson, Dartanion “Tanner” Hengeveld; and his granddaughter, Rhiannon Jones. He was especially fond of his nephew, Bill Ward; dear friend, Joe Willingham, who will be presiding over the service; and long-time family friend, Kendra Dowlatshahi.
Additional surviving family members include daughters Sandra “Sandy” (Glen) Riggs and Meryle Bates, son Stephen “Steve” Frame, brother Guy Allen Frame, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at 2:00pm at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Preacher Joe Willingham will be officiating.
Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 E. Oakland Ave., Johnson City, (423) 282-1521, is serving the family of Ralph Frame. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by1:30pm Wednesday to go in procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park for the graveside service. Jeremy Jones, Tanner Hengeveld, Bill Ward, and Joe Willingham will serve as pallbearers.
