2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept faith. RB Ramsey, 83, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at his residence. RB was born in Greene County to the late Robert and Laura Ramsey. He was a deacon at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church for 47 years. RB worked for ETWNC and Transcon Trucking, as well as ETSU for 21 years. RB loved deer hunting, working in his garden and mowing, always keeping his yard looking nice, and going to the beach with his wife, Sylvia. RB will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, RB was preceded in death by: nine siblings. Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Cox Ramsey; two daughters, Cinderella Ellen Ramsey and Nancy Gail Ramsey Loveless and her husband Mike; five grandchildren, BJ Williams and his wife Laura, Jesse Williams and his wife Angela, Carrie Ellen Williams Silvis and her husband Derek, Ramsey Michael Loveless and Daniel Lee Loveless and his wife Nicole; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Madge Crane and her husband Harvey; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Caris hospice for their care. The family of RB Ramsey will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Friday, November 30, 2018, at Morris-Baker. The funeral will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Paul Crowe officiating. Special music will be provided by Benny and Lora Lowe. Pallbearers include RB?s grandsons. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 9:45 AM Saturday to go in procession to Monte Vista Memorial Park for a 10 AM committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
