Reeves M. Quillen

Mr. Reeves M. Quillen, 78, 120 Lamar Avenue, Gray, passed Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Quillen was a native of Washington County. He was the son of the late John Calvin and Dorothy Nellie Spurgeon Quillen. Mr. Reeves retired from American Water Heater Company. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: a daughter, Debra Cox and her husband Ernie of Gray; a grandson, Lee Cox and his wife Dawn of Johnson City; a granddaughter, Christie Cox of Gray; five great grandchildren, Anthony Cox, Lita Cox, Brandon Arnett, Brittani Arnett and Bradley Arnett; his special 'Little Doggie'? Gizmo; several cousins. The funeral service for Mr. Reeves M. Quillen will be conducted at 8 PM Friday September 17, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. William Lunsford and Pastor David Abel will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Ernie, Lee and Anthony Cox, Brandon Arnett, Tyler Neal, David Abel and Bradley Arnett. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession at 10:15 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler St., Johnson City, TN 37604.
