Reginald Perry Cox Sr

Reginald Perry “Big Perry” Cox I, 76, of Watauga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Reginald was a very loving father and grandfather. He was born October 29, 1947, to the late George Vance and Bertha Mae Hollifield Cox. He enjoyed working on cars and woodworking, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, and he loved his grandchildren very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Norma Cox, and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Reginald Perry “Little Perry” Cox II; grandchildren, Candi and Reginald “P.J.” Cox III; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Travis, Waylon, Allison, Iris, and Emerson; six brothers and three sisters which include Bill (Carolyn), Alan (Linda), Buster (Wanda), Dink, Wayne, Dennis (Donna), Ina, Ava, and Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews.

Perry’s family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow, at 7:00 pm, under the direction of Rev. Estel Williams.
