Mrs. Reva G. Lonon, 91, 1701 Seward Drive, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Lonon was a native of Ashford, North Carolina and had lived in Johnson City since 1953. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence Wilson Gouge. In addition to her parents her husband James Lee Lonon also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lonon was a homemaker and a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include: one son, Jim C. Lonon and his wife Trenna of Weddington, North Carolina; two sisters, Lena Brown of Ashford, North Carolina and Zula Lonon of Marion, North Carolina; two grandsons, Chris Lonon and his wife Megan of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jim Lonon and his wife Debbie of Unicoi; one granddaughter, Andrea OBryan and her husband Doug of Atlanta; one great granddaughter, Grace OBryan of Atlanta; one great grandson, Austin Huskins of Unicoi; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Reva G. Lonon will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, November 14, 2009 in the Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. Rev. Michael Lester will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jim Lonon, Chris Lonon, Will Penland, and Michael Bales. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship class at Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service.
