Rhonda Sue Holmes

Rhonda Sue Holmes, 57, Johnson City, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at her residence.

Rhonda was born in Johnson City to Sue Herron Tipton and the late Marvin Mowdy.

Rhonda loved being a wife and mother and enjoyed life to the fullest. She truly loved everyone she met.

In addition to her father, Rhonda was preceded in death by: her son, Daniel Mowdy.

Survivors include: her mother, Sue Tipton; her loving husband of 40 years, Rick Holmes; her sons, Michael (Samantha) Holmes, Richard Holmes, and Tommy Holmes; her daughter, Abby Cooper; grandchildren, Alexia Holmes and Braden Holmes; sisters, Sheila (Dave) Sliger and Carolyn Stewart; brother, Joey Mowdy; several special nieces and nephews including, Martha Jo Frazier and Jeff Frazier; sisters-in-law, Hazel Lane and Debbie Kilpatrick; and many very dear friends.

A visitation will be held for Rhonda on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. The graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
