Richard Alan 'Rick'? Broyles, 55, of 201 Holland View Drive, Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord , March 28, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a lengthy illness.He was a native of Johnson City and a son of the late, Albert Louis Broyles and Naomi Ruth White Broyles.Mr. Broyles was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church where he served his Lord in numerous capacities for over 20 years. He served his community by coaching Little League with the Jonesborough and Johnson City Parks and Rec, and his country as a member of the National Guard for 6 years.Survivors include ; his loving wife, Jeanne Broyles ; three daughters Erin Matherly and her husband, Greg of Johnson City, Emily Broyles and her fiancée Travis Pack and Mikayla Broyles all of Jonesborough; one son, Joey Broyles of Jonesborough; two Grandchildren, Jonah and Sydney Matherly; one brother, Steve Broyles and his wife Wilma of Jonesborough; two sisters, Cathy Verble and her husband James of Jonesborough and Barbara Addison and her husband Bill of Piney Flats; several nieces and nephews Services will be conducted at 8:00 pm Monday from the Jonesborough United Methodist Church with Dr. Bradley Scott officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday at New Bethel Cemetery in Piney Flats. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:20 am Tuesday and proceed to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Scott Shipley, Jack Damron, Travis Pack, David Verble, Michael Verble, Seamus Reynolds, Jeff Wooten and Jeff Spear. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Broyles, Jerry Broyles, Sean Reynolds and Charles Broyles. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday. The family requests for those who wish, memorial contributions may be sent to: Jonesborough United Methodist Church, 211 W. Main Street, Jonesborough, TN 37659 or to the American Lung Association of TN, 1808 West End Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
