Richard H. 'Knucklehead' Morrison, 50, of 159 Morey Hyder Road, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at his residence following an illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, son of Hal and Dorothy Ruth McGuire Morrison. Richard was a former boilermaker and more recently a custom painter of motorcycles. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his fianc?, Carol Evans of the home; his parents, Hal Morrison of Greenville, NC and Dorothy Ruth McGuire Morrison of Kingsport; a brother, Mark Alan Morrison, Johnson City; a sister, Connie Lee McPherson of Bristol, TN; his maternal grandmother, Alma Moriah McGuire of Kingsport; an uncle, Richard Jackson McGuire of Pulaski, VA; and an aunt, Hilda Maxine Corley of Atlanta, GA; and several cousins. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 11, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park under the direction of Rev. Mike Pelham. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to assemble at Monte Vista on Friday.
