Rickie Lynn Sells

Rickie L. Sells, 63, of Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at North Knoxville Medical Center in Powell, TN, following an extended illness. Mr. Sells was a Johnson City native. He was a son of Lillie Mae Ledford Sells and the late Kyle A. Sells. Mr. Sells graduated from East Tennessee State University. He proudly served with both the US Navy and Air Force. Following his military service, he worked at the VA Medical Center. He was a member of Snow Chapel Baptist Church and also enjoyed gardening. In addition to his father, his brother, Bobby L. Sells, preceded him in death. Survivors include: mother, Lillie Mae Ledford Sells; sister, Lynn Stover, and her husband Donald; aunt, Stella Emily Ledford Miller; and several nieces, a nephew, and several cousins. The family of Rickie L. Sells will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Following the visitation, family and friends will proceed to Monte Vista Memorial Park for a 2 pm graveside service. Pastor Mike Richards will officiate. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
