Robert Aaron ?Rob' Mills II, 49, of Bluff City, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Johnson City. Rob was a native of Johnson City. He was a son of the late Robert Aaron Mills and Doris Godsey-Mills. Rob graduated from Science Hill High School. He worked as an engineer for Mountain States Health Alliance. He attended Johnson City Church of God. Rob was a Mason and a member of Rhea Lodge #47. He was also a member of the Knoxville Scottish Rite, where he was a recipient of the KCCH award. He and his father were the first father and son to ever receive the award at the same time in Knoxville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carolyn Richards. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Louann Richards Mills; brother, Chris Mills; niece, Mattie Richards; brother-in-law, Bobby Richards; father-in-law, Dwight Richards; aunt, Sally Kalan of Lancaster, OH; and cousins, Jim and Kathy Pepper. The family of Robert Aaron Mills II will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm Wednesday under the direction of Pastor Bryant Collins. Masonic Rites will be performed. A committal service is scheduled for 1 pm Thursday in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chris Mills, Bobby Richards, Donnie Roberts, Joshua Light, Jon Garrett, and Jeff Richards. Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Mountain Trail Riders Association.
