Robert Allen Moore, Sr.

Mr. Robert Allen Moore, Sr. Come unto Me, all Ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. On Tuesday morning, November 13, 2007, Mr. Robert Allen Moore, Sr., 69, of 285 Brandonwood Drive, Johnson City, entered peacefully into rest surrounded by his children. Robert was of the Baptist faith. He worked for Mor-Flo as a supervisor and retired from Decanter. He was a son of the late, Oscar B. and Pauline Moore. Robert is also preceded in death by one sister, Marshaleen Walters and one brother, Bud Moore. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gladys Moore; one son, Robert A. Moore, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Johnson City; three daughters, Angela Moore, Amanda Moore Loveless and husband Tommy and Jamee Shane Moore all of Elizabethton; one brother, Joe Moore and his wife, Pat of Johnson City, four sisters in law, Ella Hamby, Bobbie Williams, Edna Mae Burleson and Lois Moore; Grandchildren, Gretchen, Summer, Candace, Robert Allen, III, Macee, Jordan and Autum Jade; great Grandchildren, Jamie, Bailey, Alleea,Cassey, Pete, Elizabeth and several nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to our Friends at North Side Hospital and very special Friend, Dave McLaney and Anna Lee Bradley. The funeral service for Robert Allen Moore, Sr. will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Jim Gray will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Sunday in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral chapel at 10:15 AM Sunday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be: Tommy Lovelace, Dave Mclaney, Bobby Ray Bowling, Jeremy McNeal, Robert Moore III and Jack R. Waycaster. Honorary pallbearers will be: Chad Runnion and Jordon Moore. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
