Robert Joe Bowling

Robert Joe Bowling, 77, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. 

Robert was born on September 5, 1946, to the late Albert and Lily Martin Bowling. He worked at Snap-On Tools for over twenty years. He enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke, or most things in black and white, and he enjoyed a good game of cards. He also enjoyed fishing, riding around in the mountains, and attending auctions. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eric Bowling; grandson, Kristofer Bowling; and siblings, Roger Bowling, David Bowling, Paul Bowling, Analee Bowling, and Dale Bowling.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Robert Bowling, Kevin Bowling, Angel Jones, April Herrera, Thomas Bowling, and Brandon (Jody) Bowling; grandchildren, Jordon Moore, Jordan Campbell, Morgan Bowling, Jacob Bowling, Madelyn Bowling, Zachary Bowling, Dylan Bowling, Diego Herrera, Christian Herrera, Anthony Bowling, and Brand Bowling; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Palis Bowling; great-aunt, Coley Martin; and several nieces and nephews. 

Robert’s family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will commence the following day, Friday, January 26, at Monte Vista Memorial Park at 2:00 pm. Those attending are asked to please gather at the cemetery by 1:50 pm.
