Robert Calloway, 67, 1605 Lynnwood Drive, Johnson City died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Calloway was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County, Tennessee . He was a son of the late Robert L. and Sarah Hughes Calloway. He was a retired paving machine operator with Summers-Taylor Paving Co. with thirty-five years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Calloway in preceded in death by ; his parents, and two half brothers, Lee and Dee Hughes. Survivors include: his wife, Shirley Greene Calloway of the home; three daughters and one son-in-law, Rachel Calloway of the home, Rebecca Edwards of Johnson City, Ellen and David Hutchins also of Johnson City; one brother, Guy Calloway of Bluff City and one sister, Daisy Headrick of Jonesborough; three grandchildren, Andrew Hutchins, Santana Hutchins and John Edwards, Several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service for Mr. Robert Calloway will be conducted at 2:30 PM Friday, May 20, 2005 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Rev. Glen Hoilman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Everyone will then go in procession to the cemetery.
