Robert Earl George

Robert E. George, 42, Johnson City, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at his residence. Mr. George was a Chicago, IL native and had lived in Johnson City for the past few years. He was a son of the late Albert Earl and Peggy Ann Shinault George. Mr. George was a truck driver for over twenty years and most recently was employed with CR England. Many will remember his smiling face from behind the grill at Waffle House where he moonlighted often. He also moonlighted at several area cab companies. Survivors include his loving wife of nine years, Kathleen George, of the home; three step-children, Timothy Gabbard, Orlando, FL, Lisa Gabbard, Spring Hill, FL and Christopher Gabbard, Boones Creek; four step-grandchildren, Jasmine Gabbard, Charles Gabbard, Christian Bosses and Tommy Bosses II; one sister, Nadine Dodson, Jonesborough; two brothers, James Dodson and his wife, Sharon, Round Lake IL and Lawrence Grace and his wife, Julie Lane, Milwaukee, WI and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
