Mr. Robert 'Bobby'? Frank Hughes, age 57, of Johnson City, passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Hughes was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Frank Guy Hughes and Pearl Whaley Hughes. In addition to his parents one sister, Mary Elizabeth Hughes; one infant brother and one infant sister also preceded him in death. Mr. Hughes was a U.S. Army veteran. He was self '?employed. Mr. Hughes was a member of McKinley Memorial Bible Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Wendy Mann of Gray; four sisters, Rachel A. Hughes of Clearwater, Fl., Sandra Braman of Johnson City, Ernesteen Hughes of Johnson City and Margaret Markland of Johnson City; one brother, Jamie Hughes of Johnson City; one grandson, David Smithpeters; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Robert Frank Hughes will be conducted at 8 PM Sunday, February 5, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Lenny Smith will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 1 PM Monday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Whaley, James Whaley, Jamie Hughes, Mike Whaley, Jordan Gardener and Rachel A. Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hughes and Jeffery Thompson. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 PM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday prior to the service.
