Robert 'Bob'?James, 75, of Johnson City, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Henry Jack and Grace Harvey James. Bob was a retired plumber, he had worked with his father and brother in James Plumbing and had founded the J. J. Plumbing Company. He had worked in plumbing for fifty plus years. He was a member of the East Pine Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Raymond James and a son, Scotty James. Survivors include: his wife Betty Hatley James of the home; three sons, Mickey James and his wife, Patsy of Johnson City, Geoff and Doug James both of Johnson City; a daughter, Janeen Campbell and her husband, Jamey of Elizabethton; nine grandchildren, Bryan, Michelle, Jessica, Kelli, Ashley, Hanna, Eric, Rachel and Emily; five great grandchildren, Tyler, Lainey, Reagan, Grayson and Peyton. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 3, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Lon Tobin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be family members and honorary pallbearers will be friends and members of the East Pine Grove ParkUnited Methodist Church.
