Robert S. Susong

Robert S. 'Bob'? Susong, 80, 225 Sequoyah Drive, Johnson City, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at NHC Healthcare. Mr. Susong was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late John and Retta Brown Susong. His wife, Josie Susong, two sisters and one brother, preceded Mr. Susong in death. Robert was a founder and member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church on Guaranda Drive, Johnson City. Mr. Susong was the owner and operator of Susong Electric for over fifty years. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Susong was a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge # 386 and the Jericho Shrine Temple. He was survived by his friend, Sarah Baker, Johnson City. A funeral service for Mr. Susong will be conducted at 7 PM Sunday, December 14, 2008 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend Booney Crawford and Reverend Don Hilton will officiate, Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday at Roselawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will selected from friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 225 Sequoyah Drive, Johnson City.
