Robert W Walls

Robert Wayne Walls, 83, Johnson City, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020, at NHC HealthCare of Johnson City.

Wayne was born in Johnson City on March 20, 1937.

He was well known in the construction community. He was an amazing artist and would draw and paint in his free time.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Germany with Elvis.

Wayne was preceded in death by: his mother, Vernie Rosenbaum Walls; four siblings, Dean, Sherman, Juanita “Nita” and Wilma Walls; one son, Sherman Dean Walls; and two grandchildren, Joey Morgan and Jewel Marie.

Survivors include: his wife of over 50 years, Phyllis Walls; three children, Vikki Walls, Billy Walls and Tina Walls Bennett and her husband Dennis; six grandchildren, Jason Morgan, Alicia Martin and her husband Steven, Matthew Severance, Josh Walls and his wife Amber, Sean Martin and his wife Crystal Honeycutt and Noah Bennett; six great grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Summer Martin, Saffeara “Duckie” Martin, Nathanial Walls, Kyla Walls and Graceland Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 PM.
